Paramount Plaza has been developing with HNLA since 2015. It has now come to life by improving the transition between hard and soft infrastructure, by improving plant selection, adding colour and texture to create interest or diversity.

The landscape started as a typical commercial carpark, maximum car parking spaces provided, car parking voids painted and often ineffective and generally the hard infrastructure dominating the spaces. We have improved function, safety and organisation by upgrading the infrastructure and improved visual amenity by adding vegetation. Socially and culturally the garden now encourages the local community to interact with the garden, by offering feijoas, limes, lemons, apples and berries in the orchard gardens.

The upgraded gardens have been hoed up to improve soil moisture and oxygen levels, nutrients added to stimulate plant growth and the plant selection and composition has been well considered to achieve an attractive space that changes with the seasons.  The garden has new irrigation lines to provide even soil conditions, drainage has been included where necessary and the gardens are maintained monthly.

Tikipunga commercial centre continues to grow and develop, providing a unique attractive centre for the growing community.
